Otilus: a clear roadmap up to version 3.0

Monday June 01, 2026

Our goal is not to turn Otilus into a bloated, overly complex tool. Quite the opposite. We want to keep offering a clear, visual and structured solution, capable of supporting teams in their organization without adding unnecessary complexity.

A vision already defined up to version 3

Otilus’ roadmap up to version 3 is already clearly established. This means we know exactly where we are going, which features will be developed, and how they will enrich the user experience.

This evolution will happen progressively, with one constant priority: preserving what makes Otilus strong today, namely its ease of use, its visual approach and its ability to reduce teams’ mental load.

A tool that remains simple, but becomes even more complete

The next versions of Otilus will strengthen the platform with highly anticipated features, designed to meet the concrete needs of small businesses, SMEs, associations and organizations that want to structure their work more effectively.

  • Working time tracking: Otilus will make it possible to track the time spent on tasks and projects.
  • Task categorization by cards: tasks will be better classified, analyzed and connected to the relevant projects.
  • Detailed and comprehensive statistics: teams will have access to clear indicators to better understand their activity.
  • Sub-task creation: projects will be broken down more precisely without losing readability.
  • Integration of external partners: it will be possible to collaborate with external contributors without giving them access to the entire organization.
  • More advanced scenarios: automations will continue to evolve to help teams save time.
  • Synchronization with new powerful tools…
  • and much more…

Statistics to better manage activity

One of the major challenges of the next versions will be Otilus’ ability to transform daily work into useful data.

Thanks to task categorization, time tracking and statistics, users will be able to better understand:

  • where working time is concentrated;
  • which types of projects mobilize teams the most;
  • which tasks come up most often;
  • where bottlenecks appear;
  • how to improve organization without multiplying meetings.

The goal is clear: to enable business leaders, managers and teams to make better decisions, with a more precise view of their activity.

Sub-tasks to go further into detail

Today, Otilus is based on a simple logic: cards represent projects, and tasks help structure the work to be done.

With the arrival of sub-tasks, it will be possible to go further into detail without breaking the overall readability. A task can be divided into smaller steps that are easier to follow and validate.

This evolution will make it easier to support complex projects while maintaining a clear and accessible interface.

Better integration of external partners

In many organizations, work is not limited to internal teams. It also involves service providers, freelancers, partners, clients or occasional contributors, without requiring additional licenses.

Otilus’ roadmap therefore includes better integration of these external profiles, based on a simple logic: giving them access to what concerns them, without compromising confidentiality or the clarity of the organization.

Why does this matter?

  • To assign certain tasks to external contributors.
  • To track their progress without endless email exchanges.
  • To keep a clear record of completed actions.
  • To collaborate more effectively without opening the entire workspace.

An update before summer

This evolution is already underway. A new Otilus update will be released before summer, with the first concrete advances on this roadmap.

This update will mark an important new step in the development of Otilus. It will confirm our commitment to evolving the tool methodically, by listening to real use cases and field needs.

Simplicity remains our compass

The more Otilus evolves, the more our requirement remains the same: never sacrifice simplicity.

New features must not weigh down the experience. On the contrary, they must make the tool more useful, smarter and more efficient, while remaining immediately understandable.

This is the vision guiding our roadmap up to version 3: building a tool capable of supporting the growth of organizations, without ever losing what makes it different.

Otilus is moving forward, with a clear direction

Version 3 of Otilus will not simply be an accumulation of features. It will be a structuring milestone in our ambition: to offer a French, sovereign and simple alternative to major project management tools.

A solution designed for teams that want to work better, manage their activity more effectively and stay in control of their organization.

Otilus is moving forward. The roadmap is clear. And what comes next is already underway.
